Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis published visual images on social media on Friday of him “TANKING” his sparring partner Ivan Redkach. What was awe-inspiring about the one way display of the Davis trouncing of Redkach (23-5-1, 18 KOs) is that he was sparring a welterweight, not a lightweight!
The 5’5″ Tank Davis (23-0, 22 KOs) is a lightweight, and yet he was walloping the snot out of the bigger welterweight Redkach! The 5’9 1/2″ Redkach is the self-same boxer that gave welterweight Danny Garcia mad fits last January in close defeat a 12 round decision.
Other than Tank Davis toying with the welterwweight with pitty patty punches he was touching up Redkach in repeat mode by levying power shots as well during the short video clip, he was manhandling him! This sparring revealed a lot in terms of Davis not being one to be trifled with in the lightweight division.
Tank would indeed be biting more then he can chew trying to bum rush a welterweight like Errol Spence or Shawn Porter without asking for trouble against a dominant welterweight. But Terence Crawford, due to his lack of sturdiness and durability can meet the same fate as a Redkach in sparring going up against the likes of a Davis.
“Davis was able to walk down Redkach because of his exceptional pull counter ability like some of what we haven’t seen since the likes of a Floyd Mayweather. This is what makes Gervonta Davis special and what has every fight fan even his most arduous haters saying he can “TANK” Loma because of this power and special ability! – HKHS
Now fight fans understand clearly how Tank Davis treats all his sparring partners, which makes it especially difficult for him to keep guys in camp with him. Davis has even embarrassed Teofimo Lopez in sparring as shown 👇🏾 and when Teofimo annoyed him at that juncture Tank literally bullied him throughout the rest of this sparring between these two with unlimited combinations. Davis like he always does in sparring wanted show Redkach he ain’t nothing to trifle with because all it takes is one sparring story to expose you or in this case one sparring match to make your legend greater!
For a sparring partner, that’s got to be tough to go through that kind of situation. If they don’t know what they’re getting themselves into ahead of time, it’s going to be a shock to the sparring partner.
Tank is looking big right now, and it’s because he has big boy genetics like a Errol Spence. So they gotta stay training in order to keep their weight near their fighting weight otherwise they can have the tendency to blow up if their not careful! Something both fighters have realized about themselves and they are being more prudent with keep their weight down and not getting too out of hand like in past times. Kudos to the both of them for catching this before it’s too late and saying we gotta live in the gym!
Davis, 25, doesn’t have a fight scheduled at the moment, this is primarily due to COVID-19. Tank has answered the bell of Leo Santa Cruz’s call out of him and if they can negotiate the match, then Santa Cruz needs to move up to 135 to fight Davis since he is currently at lightweight and the A-Side fighter in this equation! Santa Cruz wants Tank to jump back down to 130, his old weight class. However, he’s the B Side and he was standing right next to Leonard Ellerbe (CEO of Mayweather Promotions) saying he wants Tank now. If that is the case then he needs to take his self up to 135 and grab his “COJONES” to muster up the courage to fight! It’s as simple as that and no two ways around it!
Santa Cruz (36-1-1, 19 KOs) won the vacant WBA Super World super featherweight title in beating Flores, and some fans believe the World Boxing Association gave Leo their title.
Flores ill-suited to be fighting Santa Cruz for the vacant WBA 130-lb title, as he had lost two out of his last four fights. With a record of 2-2 in his previous four matches, Flores was Santa Cruz’s opponent to fight for the vacant WBA title.
Santa Cruz doesn’t look like he belongs at super featherweight at all. Yeah, Santa Cruz beat a mid-level fighter in Flores, but he likely loses to WBC champion Miguel Berchelt, Shakur Stevenson, and Oscar Valdez.
“It’s not Tank’s fault that Leo Santa Cruz sounds punch drunk before the age of 30 due to him having the flat-footed Mexican come forward style that dishes out alot of punishment but also is a glutton for punishment. Tank will meet the upper echelon competition at lightweight in due time like Devin Haney, Vasily Lomachenko, Teofimo Lopez, Ryan Garcia, and Luke Campbell. Once he does just as he displayed in the sparring match against Ivan Redkach, none of them will measure up to his special abilities and extreme power that has shown that it is already at 154 level! INSANE: As HKHS been saying from the jump and he is only one keeping that same energy along with fellow Double Dragons True Alpha: Tom Ross TV aka # 1 Alpha that from the jump when everyone else got off of Tank’s stock that he is everything he has been advertised and then some! It’s no coincidence that Vasiliy Lomachencko called Teofimo Lopez a speed bump and said he wanted to fight Gervonta Davis for all the belts someday! It’s because he respects Gervonta Davis as the SuperFight of the Ages at 135! Tank stated what the outcome of that potential fight would end up like 👇🏾 and HKHS agrees 1000% with his assessment! -HKHS
